I have so many complicated and/or conflicting thoughts on things like can my brain just maybe chill

mamath:

There’s so many eevees now. I don’t know if I can handle any more eevees than this. Eeveepocalypse.

Hopefully will have this art as stickers at SMASH!

EMBRACE THE EEVEEPOCALYPSE SAM. It is glorious, and comes with much merch. Srsly, so many eevees, all of the time. Will we ever tire of them?

These are so great though!!! I love the style on them- it feels a tiny bit Pokemon Time-esque and it’s very Mamath. I dig it.

y’all don’t even know the amount of debates I get into with myself on the moral and ethical dilemmas of kpop as an industry and with regards to the fan culture, both korean and international, and how they all interact and feed on each other. you don’t want to know at all you should never know it has been the cause of much stress and many a headache okay

idk i don’t see anything wrong with fans meeting them at the airport and snapping a few photos from a safe distance. problem is it’s never JUST that and ts doesn’t have the kind of security that bap clearly needs to get around so :/

Even if you ignore the debate of whether airport info is leaked, so airport schedules that are connected to something “on the job” could be considered as an event, which would bring up the whole “reasonably expected to be photographed” thing, my feelings on airport photos are super complicated.

Like, I think it’s creepy. Not as creepy as legit creeper pics or sasaeng pics, but still creepy. Kpop idols, especially male ones, have schedules that are busy enough that they really never fall out of the spotlight. They are harassed everywhere they go, nearly every day has photographic documentation by somebody, somewhere, uploaded to the internet for thousands of fans to comment at and share.

They do fansigns, they are accosted/stalked on the street and in front of their workplace, they do shows where fans can see them in the audience, concerts, and then they are expected to hang around an airport where not only are they bombarded by fans (yes, often due to lack of security) but then pretty much every action they do while IN the airport, from sitting around reading to eating, gets filmed by someone.

It’s one of those things where in an ideal world it wouldn’t be an issue, but with the way it’s treated here, it is. And why I particularly won’t support it with Zelo is because he’s vocalized that it makes him uncomfortable, and he’s a minor. Like naw, no, nope. If you are putting the importance of you seeing a celebrity over the importance of that celebrities own wishes than that’s a problem to me.

liking a creeper pic before your brain processes that it’s a creeper pic. ugh no.
